Program for Alternative Firing Workshops
My 5-day workshops on Alternative Firing usually cover Ceramic Sagger Firings, Foil Sagger Firing and Obvara. If time permits, we can also fire raku and horse hair and feathers. During a five day course We make pieces for the three processes, make quick terra sig, burnish, bisque fire, make obvara brew, make or bring ceramic saggers, and prepare pieces for firing.Depending on the number of raku kilns available we can cover many techniques. In Scotland we had 5 raku kilns and people brought their bisque wars with them. In two days, we fired Obvara, Ceramic Saggers and Foil Saggers with 30 participants. If you are interested in hosting a workshop contact me at email@example.com.
